Starting April 10, artists living and working in the state of Louisiana are invited to apply for Louisiana Contemporary 2019! This statewide juried exhibition promotes the contemporary practices art practices in the state of Louisiana and provides an exposition of living artists’ work.
The Louisiana Contemporary annual juried art competition is open to all artists 18 years and older residing in the state of Louisiana (must be able to provide a valid Louisiana address). All work must be original and completed within the last two years (2017-2019).
All media are eligible. Work will not be judged by media categories. Work using materials that are hazardous to the health and safety of the public will not be accepted at the discretion of the Museum.
Online entries will close at 5 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. No further entries will be accepted via the online portal after this deadline.
Mailed entries must be postmarked byFriday, May 31, 2019. No entries postmarked after May 31 will be accepted.
Notification of accepted entries will be sent through email to all applicants on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. The Juror’s decision is final. Late, incomplete or non-compliant entries will not be considered.
Accepted works (shipped or hand-delivered) must be received at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art no later than 5 pm on Monday, July 22, 2019.
