New Orleans-based artist Chris Baker has been honing his skills with driftwood and neon for the past several years. A naturalist at heart, Chris blends his love of stargazing and exploring waterways with over a decade of interior decorating experience — a combination that brings about a seamless marriage of form, light, and narrative.

At the core of Chris’s process is a lifelong passion for upcycling. What began as a love for reimagining found and natural materials has evolved into a thoughtful practice rooted in sustainability and transformation. His commitment to breathing new life into the discarded, mirrors the celestial phenomena that inspire his work — cycles of death, rebirth, and illumination. Through neon-driftwood wall sculptures, lamps, and chandeliers, Chris explores celestial and organic themes, evoking vibrant energy and a sense of raw wonder.
