Press Release

"My process for painting abstracts starts with making a simple mark. From there, it becomes the skeleton or framework of the painting. It guides what comes next and allows me to fill in the empty spaces with color, texture and different media such as chalk or pastels. Even the water in which I clean my brushes becomes a tool for creativity. I not only use my brushes but also my bare hands, towels, sponges, wooden stir sticks or whatever else inspires me to make an unintentional mark. Through this process, I become one with the canvas, allowing it to inform the final painting."
