Holiday Cheers

Arts District New Orleans

December 4, 2021

Member Galleries in the Arts District will open new exhibitions and invite patrons to an all day, holiday-themed art walk event.

NEW ORLEANS, LA (17 November 2020) – Arts District New Orleans (ADNO) is pleased to announce Holiday Cheers, a holiday art walk in the district to coincide with the First Saturday gallery openings on December 5th. In lieu of the traditional evening art openings, the district welcomes patrons to an all-day rolling event featuring world class art exhibitions and libations along the beautifully decorated Julia Street from 11a-7pm.

Guests are invited to pick up an exhibition guide and art "passport" at Jonathan Ferrara Gallery (400A Julia), along with a complimentary glass of champagne provided by VenueApp. Patrons are invited to visit the galleries along Julia St. and the surrounding area to get their passport stamped (passports available at all galleries), with completed passports serving as a raffle ticket to win a one night stay for two in a Premium Suite on the Club Level at the Windsor Court Hotel. In addition to a lovely suite on one of the top floors of the hotel, with the Club Level privileges the winner will have access to the Club Lounge on the 22nd floor offering sweeping views of the city along with daily food and beverage offerings of breakfast, afternoon tea as well as cocktail and hors d’oeuvres in the evening. Guests are also invited to Sofia NOLA (516 Julia) to purchase "Jingle Juice", a specialty cocktail crafted for the event offered at a special rate for art walk attendees.

Additional elements of the event include a online art auction featuring items from our member galleries, giving patrons the opportunity to acquire works of art for personal collections or holiday gift-giving, in some cases at a price well below gallery retail. ADNO is also mounting a coat drive for Eddie's House through Dec 8th, collecting gently used or new cold weather clothing items for homeless vets, with drop-off points at LeMieux Galleries (332 Julia), Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, and Ariodante Contemporary Art & Craft Gallery (535 Julia).
