Emergence in Bloom

In this collection, three artists from the United Kingdom use floral motifs representative of species found in the United Kingdom and Louisiana to symbolize personal and collective growth, resilience and transformation.

Charmaine Chanakira
Utilizes her expressive narrative art to reflect upon her experiences as a black woman, hailing from Zimbabwe and currently living in London.

Dawn Fincham
Artworks meet at the intersection of the past and the present.  Each piece begins as a collection of fragments before evolving and emerging into something completely different.

Kate Morgan
Creates immersive, densely populated worlds in which plants and animals emerge from a wide range of environments and coexist together.  The emerging environment often blends imagination with reality and creating a more subtle and surreal dreamlike experience for the viewer.
